Taking you to drafting the floor plans with the Architect and or choosing the Model Home, all the way until your home is ready to move in and more. The more means taking pictures during the construction period and email them to you, to keep you up-dated as to the progress of your new Florida home. Getting utilities connected and looking after the Home while you are out of the State or the Country.

Things you should consider:

  • Decide what you want in a home. Many people go to an architect without a complete idea of what they want in a new home. The result is almost always a disappointment. Drive by houses you like, collect magazines and visit model homes. Do anything that helps you decide what you like and want in a new home.

  • Make a list of features and requirements. Sit down with your family and discuss the things you require in your new home. What types of rooms and how large should they be?

  • Carefully consider each feature you and decide which are workable with the style you have selected before you include them.
     

  • Ask for recommendations from the architect and make use of his or her experience. It's your home and the final decision should be yours.
     

  • Consider costs carefully during the design process. While it is not easy to obtain reliable costs without finished plans, it is important to have some idea of the expenses involved in various design decisions. Get your builder involved at an early stage and discuss these matters. Check out the prices of various materials to give yourself the best idea of the costs involved. Always allow for cost overruns and contingencies.

        A few hours spent during the early stages of a custom home design can dramatically increase your chances of designing the perfect home for your family.
